Over the last 5½ years we have grown from a single Pharmacy in Auckland to becoming one of Aotearoa’s most trusted Community Pharmacy Groups. Over the last 24 months, we have expanded significantly hence we are now the hunt for a Social Media Specialist who will help showcase why thousands of Kiwis choose to shop with us and why over 2200 employees have chosen to be part of the Chemist Warehouse family!
About The Role
As a Social Media Specialist you will be work across marketing functions to ensure we have a cohesive social media strategy and framework, creating engaging content and building brand advocates across a variety of social platforms.
Key Requirements of this role include:
- Manage core social media channels and reporting platforms
- Create engaging and valuable social media content that can meet broader content strategy and business objectives, including delivering interactive and innovative engagement campaigns
- Maintain an overview of social media footprint and strategy, working closely with media partners and internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement
- Ensure we are on the pulse of what's trending, protecting, and enhancing the organisations reputation, and engaging with customers quickly and effectively
- Collaborate with internal teammates to identify opportunities to leverage and amplify content
- Work with media agencies to develop social media best practice guidelines and ensure we meet these across the business
- Work with internal designers and external partners to create great content and maximise the effectiveness of posts
- Report on the effectiveness of social media content and channels, identifying opportunities for improvement
- Social media budget management
- Social content plan management
About You:
You are a creative mastermind who brings who will bring passion, enthusiasm and a natural drive to growing your skills & experiences with evolving markets. You quickly identify trends, be culturally astute and have an intimate understanding of target audiences and what inspires them. You will use your broad experiences and diverse background to transform ideas into engaging, informative, impactful and results driven content.
The successful applicant will have/ bring to this role:

- 5+ years’ experience in social media and communications focused marketing roles
- Demonstrated copy writing and video production management experience
- Technical skills - strong understanding of social media platforms and how they can be used to deliver on business and marketing objectives
- Platform specialist in Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn
- Experience in using Sprout Social would be an advantage
